I look forward to seeing you soon!

I’m passionate about high quality, evidence-based, holistic health care and enjoy working with patients to alleviate symptoms and reach wellness goals. I specialize in the treatment of skin, digestive, autoimmune, and allergic disorders. While conventional Western medical approaches in these areas are strong, they’re ineffective for many. Eastern medicine provides a wealth of resources for relief and complete healing.

My approach:

I aim to provide patient-centered care. This starts with me learning the layers of your health concerns and uncovering the root patterns at play. With both compassion and expertise I advise how Chinese medicine techniques can be most impactful for you. My goal with each visit is to provide relief and an experience of your health that inspires opportunity.

In practice I utilize traditional and contemporary acupuncture techniques, Chinese herbal therapy, focused bodywork, and other tools to customize a treatment plan to address your precise symptoms and wellness goals.

My background and training: After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Hamilton College, I earned a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. I’m a board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and licensed by the state of Oregon.

I’m fortunate to have worked alongside highly effective practitioners early in my career as an acupuncturist. In addition to my special interest in skin, digestive, autoimmune, and allergic conditions, I’ve pursued additional training in the treatment of women’s health conditions, treatment in pregnancy, ophthalmology, trigeminal neuralgia, and cosmetic facial acupuncture. I was voted a Portland Top Acupuncturist by Portland Monthly’s Top Doctors List in 2018.

I’ve pursued advanced study with Mazin Al-Khafaji, a world renowned Chinese medicine dermatologist, and am uniquely trained to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, urticaria, herpes, lichen planus, lichen simplex, fungal infections, tinea, and alopecia areata.

Collaborative care: Chinese medicine is a highly effective, comprehensive system of medicine but is secondary to primary care. It works well in tandem with other health care tools. I’m eager to collaborate with your care team when it’s appropriate, and to refer you to another provider when you might benefit or when my tools don’t suit your needs.

Outside of work I prioritize a nature habit, spending time with my partner and two cats, friends and family, developing my scattered hobbies, and eating soup through all seasons.
